This restaurant offers a classic British dining experience, with dishes that are both appetizing and beautifully presented. The fish and chips were perfectly fried with crispy batter, thick-cut chips, fresh mushy peas, tangy tartar sauce, and a flavorful curry dip—all served warm and generously portioned. The burger and fries from the other dish also looked fresh and satisfying, making it a great choice for anyone craving comfort food. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were attentive throughout the meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic British cuisine with great service!

When my wife Rosie died my brilliant step-children stepped up (pun intended) and sorted all of the arrangements for the funeral and wake. The original choice for the wake was going to be The Hare & Hounds on top of Lansdown hill but given the numbers they couldn't do it. The manager there put my step-daughter in touch with the Locksbrook Inn as they are owned by the same brewery. They confirmed they could do the date, time and numbers. As I was paying I popped in to see Josh the manager to go over the menu. He was excellent and clearly knew his stuff as he stopped me shelling out for far more food than was necessary. On the day the room was set up perfectly for us, the buffet was brought out when required rather than banged on the tables all at once to go cold. As there were so many of us we had the large room that faces out to the garden area which worked really well as we could have the privacy of the room but enjoy the open air when the doors were open. The staff were friendly, the food was excellent and they even had take away boxes if people wanted to take stuff home with them (I had many lamb koftas... since used with a pasta sauce). If there was one negative it was parking, for such a large party it was going to be limited but I got round that by phoning the companies that have premises near the Locksbrook. They confirmed that they had no problem with us using the empty spaces. Thanks again Josh and team, there was only good feedback from everyone there.
