La iglesia de San Stephan en Bamberg fue consagrada por el propio papa Benedicto VIII en el año 1020, algo muy poco común en Alemania. Una curiosidad simpática es que en el siglo XVII la parroquia pasó a ser luterana, de modo que hoy es la única iglesia de Bamberg consagrada por un papa pero usada por protestantes.

Wunderbare Kirche, sehr hell und etwas ab vom Trubel gelegen. Helle Stuckdecken, interessante moderne Kunstwerke von Jürgen Goertz. Ein interessantes Nebeneinander von alt und modern und eine besondere, friedliche Atmosphäre.
