Very quiet lunchtime. We received superb attention and service from the slim gentleman I’ve seen serve on each visit. He was considerate and smiling and the food served was very tasty and well presented. Bar and restaurant areas were clean, impeccably well laid out and tidy. All members of our party were very pleased with our lunch. Thank you.

Lovely quiet village not far from Thirsk and the A1(M). A friendly welcome and a clean comfortable room. We booked for dinner and the food was delicious and service equally friendly. A 10 minute walk after dinner to the abbey ruins down the road was a nice surprise. Great bed and tasty breakfast. All in all an enjoyable place to stop over on the way up to the Lake District.
