We came here for a birthday celebration and not only were the food and drinks delicious but the service was very pleasant and all in all it was well worth the price! Thank you to Ana who looked after us and made our experience really smooth and enjoyable. We’ll be back!

I visit social lounge every time I'm in York but was really disappointed this time. I was with friends in April and had lunch there. The belly pork was to die for so I took my daughter and granddaughter on 28th July. I noted the prices had increased but the portions diminished. In April we received 9 cubed portions of belly pork and with other small plates there was a lot of food. This time we received 1 portion about 4 inches long for £9.50 and the same for the deep fried brie for £9.50 the prawns were the only dish that was value for the money at £10.50. All in all it cost us £79 for 3 small plates a bottle of house wine and a diet coke. I would've said something but my granddaughter was with me and she doesn't like making a scene. Very disappointing

We popped in after a mammoth walk around York. . We were quickly seated by one of the friendly team, who immediately offered our dog a drink. …. And some very special treats. The whole team were super welcoming & friendly, providing a fabulous service alongside well presented & yummy food. If only we lived closer, we’d visit every week!
