About

Tucked away in Würzburg, the MAD Museum Am Dom offers an immersive journey through a thousand years of artistic expression. Established in 2003, this charming museum invites visitors to explore a rich collection of 700 sculptures and paintings, with a distinct focus on religious themes from the medieval period to the present day. Despite its modest size, requiring just 30 minutes for a quick walkthrough, the museum unfolds layers of contrasting art styles, highlighting the dialogue between ancient and modern pieces. Rated 4.4 on Google, its well-curated exhibition extends beyond the museum walls with striking sculptures dotting the exterior. With an affordable entrance fee under 5 euros, or sometimes even free, the museum promises an electric and intense experience for art enthusiasts, emphasizing the artistic intrigue over religious narratives.

Definitely worth visiting!! It's completely free of price for students, yet you get to see amazing artworks. I think the normal price is low as well!
