Incredible space after the renovation. Wide variety of birds in an indoor and outdoor setting. Even more impressive are the habitat recreations- coffee trees in a big indoor space, ducks in several pools, and the standout & my favorite with the tidal pool habitat. The tidal pools not only have flocks of shore birds but multiple large aquariums with simulated tidal action, fish, and crustaceans including horseshoe crabs. The kind of display I would expect at the Baltimore aquarium (laudatory) but free. I felt transported to the sea shore. Great information plaques explaining the birds & their context; easily my favorite part of the zoo.
