After years of searching in London, I can finally say I have found true, authentic Yemeni cuisine that captures the exact flavors of home. The lamb haneeth melts in your mouth, the mandi rice is perfectly fragrant and flavorful, and the fresh bread is unlike anything else you will find in the city. The rice was fragrant with just the right touch of saffron and spice, perfectly balanced—not overly greasy or dry like you sometimes find elsewhere. the lamb. It was flame-grilled to a beautiful char, with meat falling off the bone. The accompanying broth was light and comforting. the fahsa served bubbling hot in a traditional stone bowl was the true showstopper, inside were chunks of slow-cooked meat swimming in a rich, spiced stew. Every bite carried the warmth of Yemeni home cooking. What I really appreciated was the attention to detail epecially mandi and the fahsa, this place will convert you in one sitting. It’s humble, hearty, and deeply satisfying. Skip the fancy spots—go here instead.
