Tallinn

The capital of Estonia is lucky: the medieval buildings of the Old Town are excellently preserved (the architectural complex is part of UNESCO's World Heritage). During your walk, you will see dozens of ancient towers, each with its own legend. You'll find the Estonian Maritime Museum in the "Fat Margaret" tower. The tallest tower is "Tall Hermann," standing at 45 meters. In the city center, there's the only Gothic Town Hall in Europe.

Include in your Tallinn sightseeing plan the architectural complexes "Three Sisters" and "Three Brothers," St. Olaf's Church, the KGB Crimes Museum, and the Masters' Courtyard. On Pikk Street, you'll find dozens of beautiful historic buildings, shops, museums, theaters, and restaurants. The highest concentration of bars is around Viru Street.

Near St. Catherine's Church, there's a narrow street with ancient arches. Tombstones from a nearby Dominican monastery are embedded into the stone walls. On the walls of the Upper Castle, you'll find magnificent viewing platforms – Kohtuotsa, Patkuli, Piiskopiaia. In the center of the hill sits Tallinn's oldest cathedral, Toomkirik (13th century).

The exhibitions of several museums are located in the Kadriorg Palace and Park complex. In Tallinn Bay, you'll find museum sites at Lennusadam – a submarine, hangars, and a steam icebreaker. The best place to watch the sunset is the modern Noblessner seafront, featuring art galleries, an Art Center, and the PROTO theme park. You'll find designer stores in the Creative City Telliskivi.
