“Stockholms stadsbibliotek” 這是瑞典最著名的公共圖書館，橘紅色的長方型立方體上聳立著巨大圓柱，不說還真不知是圖書館，會以為是什麼工廠？斯德哥爾摩市立圖書館出自 Gunnar Asplund 大師之設計，典型的北歐建築風格，從古典主義過渡到現代主義的表徵。外觀不甚起眼的圖書館，內部卻是處處讓人驚艷！整座大廳就是建築物的圓柱體部分，內部則是360度被三層樓高的環狀書架完全包圍著，光線錯落在群書縫隙，相當漂亮。圓柱體大廳下方的長方體建築，則是規劃成一間間不同主題的藏書室、以及閱覽室；開放式的大廳，讓人們可以自由親近無垠的書海。即便不是來看書，也可以來欣賞瑞典的公設美學，踩點拍照一下，或喝杯咖啡小憩。地點就位於斯德哥爾摩的市區，地鐵出站走5分鐘就到，相當方便。
