About

The Contemporary Art Center of Galicia, designed by acclaimed architect Álvaro Siza, gracefully merges contemporary design with historical reverence in Santiago de Compostela. Just a short stroll from the iconic Cathedral, this museum offers an intriguing exploration into Galician culture through its thoughtfully curated exhibitions. Visitors are captivated by the unique 'living' installation that subtly critiques modern office life. The building itself is a masterpiece, boasting a striking triple-helix staircase and a bold exterior that harmonizes with the adjacent convent. Inside, the clever layout ensures a seamless journey through the galleries, making it an enriching experience for both art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. With family-friendly facilities and accessibility features, it's an inviting space for everyone to explore, albeit the terrace and shop might not be accessible at all times. Whether you're drawn by the art or the architecture, dedicating an hour or two here promises an inspiring and enlightening visit.
