This review is about sustainability only! 🌏 By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And it means a lot to me as a customer to support cafes that are doing better by our local and global ecosystems by way of their dishware. Namely, by not providing an excess of trashy, single use plastic that will head straight for the landfill, incinerator, or water. So thank you for offering, real, reusable mugs, and plates and silverware on site. As well as for the compost receptacle! It also seems that most of your customers order “for here” accordingly, as I see very few people eating in-house with a single use cup, so kudos for communicating and normalizing the option! That said, it could never hurt to keep asking customers if they will be enjoying their beverage to stay, so as to prevent more needless trash. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for being mindful, and for setting a precedent for how other businesses here and abroad can act. PS: the coffee and toast were delicious!

We ordered two different toast options from their menu. One was very good, one was not so good. The one we enjoyed was the avocado toast. It was on a nice thick slice of bread with a large helping of avocado on top. The one we did not enjoy was the #6, a dark rye bread with ricotta cheese and jam spread on top. This did not work well together and would have been more enjoyable on a better slice of bread. Our next complaint for this restaurant was their lack of seating available due to people using the tables as a work space on a busy Monday morning. Lots of people were taking up spots without any food or drinks in front of them. This is a restaurant, not a cafe or an open work space for techies. I’d like to return and try something else, but for now it was just okay, do NOT get the ricotta cheese and jam toast option.
