Expérience unique!

Free toilet but it made the surrounding area smell. Still, watching the operators turn the cable car was neat.

Iconic San Francisco tourist experience. Don’t be snooty- just wait in line like everyone else and enjoy the ride. Can you really claim to have seen San Francisco if you didn’t ride this once? Not really a practical way to travel over the city’s hills- but it’s an experience in itself. Loud, rattling trolleys, silly steep hills, lovely views. Work it into your trip to Fisherman’s Wharf, and just plan on waiting a while to get on. The Wharf side waiting area is near Ghirardelli square, and had a pretty entertaining busker, which made the wait pleasant.
