A must visit San Francisco experience! The ferry ride to Alcatraz Island was quick, relaxing, and offered beautiful views of the city skyline and calm waters. Once on the island, I highly recommend purchasing the audio tour as it truly brings the prison’s history to life with powerful stories from former inmates and guards. The grounds are well-maintained, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into preserving the site. Staff were friendly, informative, and happy to answer questions. There’s also a nice gift shop at the end where you can pick up some unique souvenirs. An unforgettable and educational experience, definitely worth the visit!
