La costruzione del Palazzo Anaya iniziò nel 1760, secondo il progetto di José Hermosilla. L’intero edificio è in stile neoclassico, come si evince dalla facciata principale, in cui un’ampia scalinata precede quattro grandi colonne ioniche sormontate da un frontone triangolare. È noto anche come il Colegio Mayor di San Bartolomé. Attualmente, ospita la Facoltà di Filologia dell’Università di Salamanca. Non l'ho visitato internamente e non credo sia visitabile.

Era un colegio para buenos estudiantes, sin medios económicos. Tuvo muchos desperfectos en el terremoto de Lisboa. Hoy es la Facultad de Filología. Sus paredes están pintadas con vítores (un vitor es una pintura hecha con sangre de toro). Cuando un estudiante terminaba sus estudios, se escribía su nombre junto a un vítor.
