Really cool bar with a lot of cultural events (hoping to see one soon). Enjoyed having a couple of drinks on the quiet (secret ?!) terrace, before going out for dinner. Porto was a little Hot for me that day and getting there (thanks Time Out !) allowed me to feel much better. Also : very fair prices.

My husband and I stumbled across Pinguim Café during our stay in Porto, and the two words I would use to describe it are traditional and authentic. The service from the girl at the bar was great (as was the price point); she was very friendly. There weren't many people in, but we were encouraged to use the terrace should we wish, which we did. The terrace is not in the prettiest of locations and there was a bit of a smell, but we didn't mind. We enjoyed our experience.
