Superbe petit bar à vin tenu par un couple passionné, parlant incroyablement bien plusieurs langues pour décrire leurs vins. Si vous pouvez prendre une des 4 petites « fenêtres » vous passerez un excellent moment avec des chanteurs de rue en contre bas. Pour prendre 2 verres de vin avec pain, houmous et mousse au chocolat c’est parfait

Ik had deze wijnbar op het lijstje staan, omdat ik een lekkere Port wilde drinken in Porto en Google deze bar aanraadde. Ik was deze avond alleen, maar dat is hier geen enkel probleem. In het hoogseizoen was het erg druk en heb ik ongeveer 20 minuten gewacht op een stoeltje. Dat is geen straf, omdat ik op een muurtje geweldig kon uitkijken naar Gaia en de mensen die langs de rivier wandelden. Ik begon de avond met een 10 jaar oude Ruby wat erg lekker was. Daarbij werd mij door een aardige meneer een oude koeien kaas aangeraden. Nu vond ik het wel jammer dat ik niet met een of meer andere was, want je krijgt een flink stuk kaas, wat in je eentje goed dooreten is. Met meer mensen kan je simpelweg meer hapjes en Portjes proeven. Daarna viel mijn oog op een hele bijzondere Port op kaart. Een Poças Colheita 1992. De prijs was even slikken (20 euro voor een glas), maar in Nederland betaal je voor een fles al gauw 100 euro in de winkel. In een restaurant kan je dit waarschijnlijk sowieso niet per glas kopen. Een aardige vrouw kwam bij het glas uitgebreid uitleg geven en het was het lekkerste glas wat ik in mijn hele Porto reis gehad heb. Met een geweldige smaak die lang bleef, een complexe zoetheid en een prachtige kleur. Kortom, een heerlijk einde van de avond.
