Vincennes Castle in Paris
About
At the beginning of its existence, the Vincennes Castle was merely a hunting lodge. It was only a hundred years after its foundation that Philip Augustus began to gradually strengthen and improve the structure. His initiative was continued by his successors, and as a result, the Vincennes Castle became one of the first royal residences. For many years, new generations of the reigning dynasty were born here, and state coups took place.
