About

BPI, nestled within the Pompidou Center in Paris, is an ideal haven for students and families alike. Opened in January 1977, this attraction and library offers a vast collection of art-focused and multilingual books in a clean, spacious environment. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of Paris from the balcony while benefiting from ample seating arrangements designed for comfort, including for those with disabilities. The library not only provides free Wi-Fi but also a selection of movies, audio, and video games to explore. Though the cafeteria mainly features food from vending machines, it ensures a clean environment alongside decent amenities. The kind and respectful staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for studying or working for free, even though there might be occasional long queues or slightly slow Wi-Fi. With operating hours extending to Mondays, BPI remains a popular spot for learning and leisure, though patience is occasionally required at the checkpoints.

BPI is an amazing library with lots of space and plenty of charging sockets and workspaces everywhere. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of the facilities! Just note: caddies aren’t allowed inside, so it’s best to bring a handbag or backpack instead.
