About

Old Aker Church, the proud guardian of Oslo's rich history, beckons with its Romanesque grandeur. As Oslo's oldest church, dating back to the 11th or 12th century, it offers a glimpse into the past with its sturdy stone walls and timeless beauty. Visitors will find the church surrounded by a serene cemetery, where ancient headstones stand quietly, telling tales of yesteryear. The grounds also feature a captivating sculpture of a woman gently holding a garland of flowers.

Often serving as the starting point for the Pilgrim Route to Trondheim, the area invites both pilgrims and casual visitors alike. It provides the ideal setting for a tranquil stroll or simply a moment of reflection amidst its peaceful surroundings. Easily accessible from downtown Oslo, a pleasant walk or a short ride on bus 54 to the Telthusbakken stop will lead you to this historical sanctuary. The church enjoys a stellar reputation, reflected in its 4.5 average rating on Google, making it a must-visit attraction for those seeking both spiritual and historical enrichment.

Самое старое здание Осло. Построено в 11 веке. Внутри атмосферно, камерно. Впечатляет. Если кто-то есть внутри, поговорите. Лютеранская церковь уникальна.

Visited. It was old. Thankful for the pamphlet. The outside in bricks is visually appeasing. Grazie Gesú.

Vakker gammel steinkirke som er veldig moderne renovert i kjelleren med kjøkkenkrok møterom og toilettfasiliteter. Sang i et bryllup. Flott akustikk.
