Oslo

The best views of the Norwegian capital can be seen from the walls of Akershus Fortress and the roof of the Opera House. The city on the fjord seamlessly combines the vibrant energy of a capital with the serene beauty of nature.

One of Oslo's most tourist-filled streets is named after King Karl Johan. In summer, the street is car-free, adorned with flowers, and filled with café tables. It's popular to have photos taken by the two lions guarding the entrance of the Parliament building. Nearby, you'll find the National Theatre and Spikersuppa Park - a venue for Christmas markets and summer festivals. A little further up the hill is the Royal Palace, for which tickets must be booked in advance for visits. Access to the Royal Park is free.

Aker Brygge harbor, with its shopping centers and restaurants, is an excellent place for a walk. Along the shore lies the largest art museum in Northern Europe. Large music festivals are held at Rådhusplassen between Oslo City Hall and the fjord. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded at the City Hall. Close to the docks, there is a museum of contemporary art.

During a short visit, try to catch a glimpse of the Oslotreet, an installation made of 125,000 LEDs. An unusual stroll is guaranteed at Vigelandsparken, where 212 works by the famous Norwegian sculptor are displayed throughout the park.
