Excellent breakfast/brunch/lunch foods at The Big Pickle, in Nice, France. Steve had a shrimp po-boy and fries, tender, lightly battered, then fried, shrimp with a magical sauce on a buttered roll, perfect frites, crispy outside, fluffy inside, with a side of tangy, purple cabbage slaw. I had Oeufs a la Turque, 2 perfectly poached eggs, jiggling in an unctuous sea of yogurt, drizzled with spicy, pungent chili oil, dotted with fried capers and tarted up with sprigs of fresh dill. Served hot from the pan, with homemade pita. In a word, SPECTACULAR. Add reasonable prices and a decidedly funky vibe and you have the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. AND, the have REAL CANADIAN MAPLE SYRUP.
