About

The Madrid Rio Park is a unique phenomenon in the life of Madrid, representing a dedicated walking area along both banks of the Manzanares River. This site used to be a highway, but it was moved underground, freeing up the space for recreation.

Madrid Rio extends through six main districts of the capital, divided into three special zones - northern, central, and southern. The park is designed to provide full-fledged leisure opportunities for both people with disabilities and young visitors. Here you can enjoy the aroma of a small pine forest, rent a bike and ride along designated paths, relax on a sandy beach, or try your hand at kayaking.
