About
Plaza de España, if not the most famous, is definitely the largest square in Madrid. It is quite easy to find - located in the very center of the capital, surrounded by ancient plane trees and fountains that light up the night park with bright and colorful lights.
Plaza de España is a true "crossroads of seven roads" with bustling traffic, a monument to the forefather of Don Quixote, Miguel de Cervantes, and two unique skyscrapers. The first reaches a height of 117 meters and is simply named the "Edificio España," while the second, soaring up to a height of 142 meters, is called the "Torre de Madrid," affectionately renamed "Giraffe" by the locals.
