Been before and food and service was a bit hit and miss. Returned last week for the first time in a couple of years and pleasantly surprised. Good (tasty) food and drink choices, nice service and lovely location by the water. Great improvements! Car park ticket (£5 for 3hrs) comes off your bill if you hand it over to the staff.

Excellent olde world place. Great for lunch before or after a nice walk either side of the road. The food as a tad unusual but actually quite nice with a good bar service. You pay and display to park but get it taken off you food or drinks bill which I think is fair enough and preserves it from liberty takers? The bar man was very helpful when we visited as the machine was not playing ball too well. Yes we often use it just prior to seeing guests off on the nearby Stansted express. It works well. I've even done an artists impression!!
