I dined at Dim Sum Terrace inside Harrods, and it was a stunning experience in terms of both food and atmosphere. The dining room is elegant and beautifully designed, which makes the meal feel extra special. At first, I was seated at the table closest to the entrance door, which wasn’t ideal. I asked to be moved, and while the staff seemed a little reluctant, I did get a better table—which made the experience much more comfortable. The food itself was beautifully presented and clearly high-quality. I enjoyed a colorful steamed dim sum platter, a generous baked and fried platter, the classic lotus leaf rice with prawn, and the indulgent black lava custard buns finished with gold leaf. Everything looked gorgeous (very Instagram-worthy!) and tasted fresh, with the custard buns being the standout for me. Drinks were equally elegant, with a refreshing fruit-based mocktail and delicate Jasmine Flower tea that paired nicely with the meal. That said, my bill for one person came to about £150 including service, which makes this very much a luxury splurge. While I enjoyed the experience, you can find equally good dim sum in London for a fraction of the price.

A favorite in Harrods. The truffle cheese hits all the spots.
