Been here many times but we felt the least welcomed this Saturday. We made a reservation for 1.15pm and showed up on time. There was a lady in front of us without reservation, by herself, trying to get the best table for her and her two friends who have not arrived. The maître de said if she's willing to wait and if people no showed, she can then have it. On the other hand, we had a reservation and yet we wer then sat right at the back. When I asked if we could be in another table (not the same as the lady without reservation) in the front room, the maître de told us we can't have it because she's keeping it for the lady without reservation if the table the customer without reservation wanted is unavailable. Whilst she moved us to the front room eventually, it made us feel very unwelcomed despite booking ahead. FYI - those people who didn't have any reservation and got the nice table left after 1 round of drinks and one shared food item to eat amongst 3. I struggle to understand why preferential treatment was given to people without reservation on a Saturday afternoon. Still one of my favourites but the service took some of our enjoyment away.

Nice food and relaxing environment. Bone marrow and turbot were both very good. Super hot and freshly made from the kitchen. Food was served as they were ready so it ended up turbot was served before I finished the bone marrow and toast as a starter. It was rather minor but I might order separately next time to keep my own pace. Menu was hand-written by the server in front of the guest. I would still prefer it printed for legibility.
