We've booked for an afternoon tea and I must say it was incredible ! We chose that restaurant because of the fusion food menu (Japanese and British), most afternoon teas consist of cream tea which is mostly sweet. Here is a twist you have both of it salty and sweet. The flavours were amazing, such rich tastes and creative combinations, I especially enjoyed the salty treats such a the red tuna toast. Service is a bit cold but I have noticed they were a bit understaffed this day, which might explain why. The ambiance is cosy and comfortable, the decoration slightly recall of Japanese traditional houses.

The freshly baked matcha scone was the best! Surprisingly, the vegetable futomaki was my favorite savory item. Second was the salmon, third the chicken curry sando. The food was fresh despite it not being very busy. The strawberry cheesecake was our favorite dessert. Service is a bit absent despite the number of staff around. We couldn't take away leftovers which feels like such a waste. Starting from dessert and scones, we only had appetite to eat the portion for 1 person versus 2. They don't apparently have a cream license to allow us to take the leftovers including the 2 scones we couldn't finish.
