Quite simply a proper pub with really good food (pub classics and interesting other options) and friendly staff. Just what a pub should be!

The Duke of Wellington is a true gem in the heart of London. What makes it stand out is the fact that it’s run by local residents, which gives the place a unique and genuinely welcoming atmosphere you don’t often find elsewhere. The service is attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in. The selection of beers and spirits is excellent, with something to suit every taste, and the quality is consistently high. On top of that, the location is beautiful, adding to the overall charm of the experience. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this is a pub well worth your time.

Great place for a pub lunch. I asked for a Virgin Mary with extra Tabasco, and it was perfect. My colleagues' octopus dishes were a bit on the burnt side, but my pork dish was good.
