A great old school pub with friendly staff (Sonia and Seth) with good range of drinks. Nice traffic-free alleyway outside to have a chilled drink

Lovely atmosphere,amazing for drink….BUT I ordered a Ray wing(one of my favourite fish )with caper butter,what I have quite often. Didn’t looked too good but wow the smell It’s smelled like ammonia (tbh first I thought it’s the smell from the gents toilet)what if you prep and cook properly should disappear You never serve fish smell like that. When I asked for a chef he didn’t came out just the waiter said it must be the caper butter that I smell……(the chef apparently said he was happy with how the fish was cooked ) I worked 7 years in a seafood restaurant and never smelled fish like that. They offered me replacement but my appetite was gone.
