I visited The Old Doctor Butler’s Head today and, while I usually enjoy my time here, an unexpected incident occurred during my visit that left me with mixed feelings. The situation arose suddenly and could have quickly escalated. What truly stood out was the way one member of staff, along with two of their colleagues behind the bar, handled it. Despite clearly being understaffed and in the middle of serving, this particular team member Molly went above and beyond to defuse the situation swiftly and calmly. Their professionalism and quick action made all the difference and ensured things didn’t get out of hand. However, I was disappointed to see that no other staff or management appeared to help until after the incident had already been brought under control. At a time when support was most needed, the frontline staff were left to manage on their own. That lack of immediate backup was concerning, especially considering how quickly the situation developed. I want to sincerely thank the team member who stepped up — your efforts did not go unnoticed and are truly appreciated. You exemplified what it means to go above and beyond in difficult circumstances.

All what you would expect from typical pub. Nothing amazing - it's just ok.
