Stopped here for early dinner before a prom as it'd not been for years and happy to say that it's still a great pub. I had fish and chips and my wife had a steak, the portion sizes were good for the price and the fish and chips was flavourful and crispy. The steak unfortunately was not too warm and pretty tough, but on raising this with the staff it was whisked away and a new one prepared. The new one was excellent so it was just one of those things, not an issue as long as it's made good and it was certainly resolved quickly. Staff were very friendly and helpful, making sure everything was ok with the food. Only slight downside is the toilets could do with a touch up, they have great tiling but it's showing it's age a bit. Would recommend and go back again when next in the area for either drinks or some food.
