To my jaded-eye, virtually indistinguishable from Craft Beer Junction right beside it. I jumped (not literally but could have if my legs were up to it these days) from the "garden" of one to the "garden" of the other. High quality, Bermondsey Beer Mile, tap selection as you'd expect. At least it was Saturday and both places were open until 23:00 (and didn't do the Google says 23:00 but we're actually calling last orders at 9-thirty dance). Again, very highly recommended and you can't go wrong with this place.

Enid Street Tavern is the kind of place you stumble into “just for one” and leave three hours later having befriended the bartender, joined a quiz team you didn’t know existed, and somehow acquired a dog (probably named Guinness). Tucked away in Bermondsey, it looks modest from the outside but crackles with life inside. It’s got that perfect ratio of scruffy to stylish: exposed brick, low lighting, a bar that stretches like it’s showing off, and beers with names so obscure you’ll need a translator and possibly a degree in craftology. One pint was described as having “notes of oaky melancholy” and I swear it did. The music is always just right—think toe-tapping but not so loud you have to shout to ask, “Is this the loo or a broom cupboard?” The food (or snacky delights, if you prefer) is classic pub grub with a wink—crispy fries, loaded nachos, and sausage rolls that might actually change your life or at least your cholesterol. It attracts a mix of locals, lost tourists, and pint philosophers who will explain the entire history of IPAs if you make eye contact for too long. Everyone’s welcome, including dogs, and probably the occasional fox. If you find yourself near Enid Street and feel an overwhelming desire for a proper pint, warm conversation, and the possibility of accidentally staying all night, you’re in the right place. Just don’t plan anything the next morning.

Great beer.
