⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give 10 stars, I would!) I went with a group of friends and my dog to celebrate her 1st birthday, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The food was superb and very generous. I’m not usually a fish and chips person, but it looked so good that I ordered it—no regrets! The fish was beautifully white, flaky, fresh, and tasty, in a perfectly crunchy batter. The chips were spot on, and the mushy peas were such a hit at our table. Two friends had the pork and beef roasts, and not a drop of gravy was left behind. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, as were the vegetables. My doggy got her own roast as a bday treat, which she absolutely loved. The staff were so sweet and thoughtful, they even took her photo for the pub’s dog wall, which was such a lovely touch. Drinks were just as good: a nice wine list, delicious cocktails (the Hugo was especially refreshing), and the added bonus that £0.50 from every Hugo goes to a sea conservation charity. Service was warm and personal. I was greeted by name when I arrived, and so was my dog! While waiting for my friends, we relaxed on a comfy sofa. The pub itself is beautiful—unique furniture, warm décor, and a welcoming atmosphere full of locals (always a good sign). We loved every moment and will gladly return. Plus, it’s just a short walk from the Thames Path and the Power Station, making it the perfect spot for both people and pups.

We often come here for the Sunday roast, and the food is absolutely delicious. I usually come with my kids, and the staff are always wonderful with us. Nelson in particular always welcomes my family and me with a warm smile, which makes the experience even better. This is the place that truly got our family hooked on roast beef!
