Great food and service. It's just a shame that a beer costs £7+ now.

Good pub! I have no complaints and a fair bit of praise. We went on a Sunday and they had a nice Sunday roast menu. However, the specials board had a nice chicken and mushroom pie that attracted both my wife and me. The pie was good, the vegetables were good and the only problem was that we couldn't finish off our meal because they were so generous! One negative consequence of the large portion was that we didn't allow ourselves to order dessert. This was especially sad since this particular pub, part of the Three Cheers chain, makes their desserts in-house. Additionally, The Latchmere has vegan ice cream (vanilla, at least), which is a boon for me as dairy ice cream upsets my stomach now. Somehow I'm still okay with custard, and they still have that on some desserts (like the apple and rhubarb crumble) too. The bar setup looked familiar for a Three Cheers pub. It was much like our local, The Bolingbroke, including the low- or zero-alcohol Erdinger and Guineas we ordered.
