Nice to find a proper pub, not a hint of gastro about it. Tables outside could have done with a wipe, though

30 years ago, this was my works' local - a proper London boozer in the backstreets. I've been away a long time but now I sometimes have to visit the area and it's STILL a proper London boozer, run by the same family, full of locals of all ages - ideal for a quiet chat or sitting in the garden and soaking up the sun (or rain!) There's no food these days, but amongst a few real ales Harvey's Best is always on which is a really good test for a pub! A beautiful pub in a quiet location, lovely staff, ideal for a quiet pensive pint.
