The Salty Floor is an absolute gem in Belem! (And easily one of Lisbon’s standout spots). Whether you’re on your own or sharing time with friends, the inviting warmth and wine wisdom of the owner (she knows her wines!) will draw you in and make it hard to leave. It’s the kind of unpretentious place that invites you to slow down and savor. The space inside is cozy and intimate; outside, charming tête-à-tête tables on the sidewalk, perfect for a glass (or two or three) as a local or a tourist. The shareable plates are delicious - don’t miss the rillettes or the feijão verde (personal favorites). This isn’t the kind of place that gives you cheap peanuts and pretzels - the food is as good as the wine :) Add in the relaxed, dog-friendly atmosphere, and The Salty Floor becomes not just a wine bar, but a memory in the making. It’s the kind of place I’ll gladly return to every time I’m in Portugal.
