Corrib House Tea Rooms and Guest Accomodation is the perfect place for a romantic Irish getaway and breakfast lovers. With only 5 uniquely designed rooms in a historical theme, I received a very personal and friendly treatment from the kind staff. I was welcomed with some cookies and a lovely tea arrangement. The bed was comfortable, and I loved the free-standing bathtub. We received an extra heater for the room which I was glad about as the house cooled down at night. The tea rooms downstairs are very inviting and a beloved lunch place for locals. As a guest, you will enjoy their mouthwatering breakfast made of a buffet with delicious scones, other pastries, granola, fruit salad, and some à la carte choices, like avocado toast. The historic house is located 3 minutes walking distance from the shopping street or five minutes from the Latin Quarter at the beautiful spot of Salmon Weir. Nevertheless, it’s wonderfully quiet. Only the comforting gurgling of the river accompanied my sleep at night.

Had breakfast here. We ordered pancakes with bacon and maple, French brioche toast with fruit, full irish, kids Sausages and scrambled eggs. Pancakes are a bit dry, I think if they were flatter and wider, instead of being like stumps, they would cook better. The ratio of two pieces of bacon to 3 pancakes was not enough, 3 bacon please and more maple. The marscapone was beautiful, tasted like fresh ice cream, the French toast was good but again the ratio of fruit to toast was off, add more fruit please. The full irish was good but the relish was not too appealing, ballymaloe is the way to go. The pudding was a bit dry and needed relish but the relish wasn't great so didnt enjoy that. Lovely location and views.
