We have been here fairly often over the years and have usually enjoyed it. However, the last two times and especially this visit…well pretty poor. Food service was incredibly slow, an hour, which they blamed on a hen night. They’re a restaurant… deal with it. When the food arrived, all the fries were stone cold, the burgers, warmish. So all in all pretty poor. Interestingly we were never asked how we found the meal. Probably knew what our answer would be! This place has definitely gone down hill and there is now a good choice in Exeter so no longer for us. Loos were also pretty poor. No soap and mess everywhere. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in hours.I suspect they won’t care as they have plenty of customers who are probably happy enough. Shame though.

The food was really good, especially if you are gluten free. There were so many GF options and that in itself is a 10/10. The structuring (at least on the patio) was what lost stars for me. We were seated outside and the staff member placed two different menus on a QR code we didn’t see. We had no idea that the QR code was how we ordered and no one ever said anything to us about it, not even when we were originally seated. We sat there for 30 minutes with waiters walking by and never saying anything to us. We were kinda shocked. Eventually I lifted up the Specials menu and say the QR code and felt really dumb, but again, that should have been mentioned that to us in the first place. Idk that was just crazy to me and not good service nor communication. The rest of the experience was fine and the food was good. But my sandwich did have a hair in it which was nasty and disappointing. But everything tasted great!!
