El Club Jazzland fue fundado hace más de treinta años y se considera uno de los clubes de jazz más antiguos de toda Viena. Aquí, en el sótano debajo de la iglesia de San Ruprecht, casi todos los mejores músicos austriacos han actuado. Hoy en día, el club "Jazzland" es bien conocido por toda la ciudad y está prosperando más que nunca. Además, este lugar ha sido visitado por más de 300 estrellas de Estados Unidos, entre ellas leyendas como Max Kaminsky, Teddy Wilson, Clark Terry, Benny Carter, Art Farmer, Ray Brown, Herb Ellis y Lee Konitz. This place was so cool. It got packed very quickly, the stage is in the main room and there are two other rooms by the bar where you can hear the music but cannot see the band. We got there at 930pm, the band started around 7pm, and there were no spots in the main room. Eventually a couple opened up and we got to watch and listen. Everyone is crammed together with chairs blocking everyone in their seats and tables to be prepared for that. It is also very hot down there. It was 18 euro each cover plus drinks at the bars and it’s all cash only. Overall was a great experience, they played until about midnight.

CASH ONLY both for entrance tickets and for food&drink. Be forewarned, we were not and had to budget less than we would have liked to spend. A very cool vibe, food was fine but not the highlight of the evening. Seating is very tight, we arrived 45 minutes before showtime and had limited sight lines to the stage.
