I now know why I pinned this place down as a place to go after doing some research on "best eats in Stockholm". We felt like we were in a little restaurant on a side street somewhere in Portugal. Bottles of superbock on display, staff chattering to each other in Portuguese and the beautiful ceramic dishes everywhere all added to an authentic and pleasant atmosphere. We were keen to share some nibbles to start with and decided on getting the bread, sardine pate, molho verde, molho rojo, the Portuguese cheese and the bacalhau croquetas. The bread came with some exceptional olive oil which with the crushed salt made a match made in heaven. Sometimes there's no better way than starting a meal like this. The sardine pate is presented in a cute little pot from Portugal - made there rather than at the restaurant, and if you like sardines you're bound to like this. I was swimming with joy when spreading the pate onto the bread. The only thing I would say is could the bread be served warm? This would be most welcomed. The molhos were reminiscent of the mojos we are used to trying in Lanzarote which certainly satisfied that particularly craving. The rojo was sharp with vinegar yet beautifully balanced with herbs, tomato and oil. The verde was extraordinary - herby, garlicky goodness! Next time I'm there I'm buying a tupperware of it to bring back home, if allowed. The cheese was tasty and this with the mojos and the bread...Hmmm. Almost forgot to mention the croquetas, how could I? What I loved about them is that they had a nice light coating around the outside and then they were packed with cod flavour in the centre. Too often than not can croquetas be too heavy and rich whilst having the flavour masked by potatoes. I enjoyed these ones very much. After all this we decided that sharing a half chicken was the best way to go. The bird did not disappoint. Crispy skin with the taste and scent of charcoal provided warmth and comfort. The chicken itself was succulent and I tried very much to get every last mortal of flesh off the bone because it was worth it. Perhaps the lemon sauce accompanying it could have been more zingy. We wanted a refreshing salad to go along with it and what I loved about the salad was that it was gorgeously seasoned with salt and nicely doused in olive oil. Yes please and thank you. I'm sick and tired of getting plain, boring, silly salads at restaurants where they don't season it at all. I can do a salad at home so if you're putting one on the menu have the decency to bloody season it. Thank you Acaza for bloody seasoning it. As I write this review I am thoroughly enjoying their pastel de nata with a coffee as I was too full to have one last night. It's fricken unreal. The pastry is so light and slightly crumbly and the egg centre - as creamy and oozy as they come. The service at Acaza was impeccable and you can honestly tell that the staff care about the food and drink served. At one stage of the night the staff were taking ...

Very good food, very good wine, and very good service. I highly recommend Acaza and also it's great to see a restaurant so busy and alive on a Tuesday night. You should book a table.
