I regularly come to this place, and love the environment. I’m always met with a welcoming smile by the staff. I have been to other Gail’s branches, but this is certainly the best one, with ample space both inside and outside. I would highly recommend this place to everyone 😊

I just wanted to take a moment to share how much I appreciate the consistently excellent experience I’ve had at your Loughton branch. As a regular customer, I can confidently say it’s one of the most welcoming and well-run cafés I’ve visited. In particular, I’d like to extend a special thank you to Maria. She is always incredibly kind, warm, and attentive, and her genuine friendliness truly brightens my visits. It’s rare to come across someone who makes such a positive difference to your day, and she absolutely does that. Please do pass on my gratitude to the team—and especially to Maria—for the wonderful service. Gail’s Loughton is a real gem, and I’m very happy to be a regular there.

All the positive 4 and 5 star reviews I've read coincide with my experience -- great pastries, including good selection of veggie temptations, excellent (decaf) coffee (can be tasteless in other cafes), friendly and supportive staff, always busy whenever we've called in, but can be a tad noisy and crowded around lunchtime -- which proves their ongoing popularity and success. The best café in Loughton!
