London City Pubs

A few rays of sunshine present this place in a good light. There are tables outside and a raised area of bench seating and tables indoors. The whole place is covered in beermats. The choice of drinks on the bar makes this residential pub stand out. There are 14 taps in use, including a handpull bitter. Siren, Paulaner plus Anspach and Hobday were among the choices. I can see where all the beermats come from now! The pub's got a function room, has a quiz and offers bank holiday beer festivals and a pop up Dominican kitchen. If you want you can also buy the pub's branded merch via its website. Its frontage is a tad distressed, although Camra says it's listed. Undertones of a religious past for the building or land drift through in its name and also the presence of a bishop's crozier and crosses on the pub sign. All in, a decent independently-run neighbourhood local.

This is a great pub. Used to live round the corner years ago this was the best place, Sunday roast was amazing. And still really good.

Used to be a great pub, now absolutely dreadful. No food, no atmosphere, and the first 2 beers offered were not fit to drink I left the 3rd and left.
