Visited The Candle Maker with some friends and had such a brilliant time. The cocktails were expertly made and the music was great. What really stood out, though, was the service. Joanna looked after us the whole night and was absolutely wonderful. She made sure we were comfortable, checked in often, and had great energy throughout. You can tell she really cares about customer satisfaction. Can’t wait to return!

The Candle Maker is hands down one of my favourite pubs in London. The decor is quirky, the vibe is always lively, and the drinks menu is top-notch. But what truly elevates the experience is the incredible service. Joanna was our server and she was simply fantastic—attentive without being intrusive, super knowledgeable about the menu, and just lovely to talk to. A real asset to the team. Highly recommend this gem!

Had the pleasure of visiting The Candle Maker last Friday night, and it’s safe to say it’s now one of my favorite spots in London. The pub has such a unique character — a fun blend of whimsical décor and cozy lighting that instantly puts you at ease. The crowd was lively and welcoming, and the music was just the right volume for conversation. What really took the experience from good to great was the incredible service from Joanna. She was so friendly and approachable, making us feel comfortable the moment we sat down. She had fantastic recommendations and was super knowledgeable about the drinks menu. Joanna never missed a beat — whether it was keeping our glasses full, checking in at just the right moments, or simply sharing a laugh with us, she made the night feel so personal. It’s rare to find that kind of attentive service these days, and it didn’t go unnoticed. I’ll definitely be back, not just for the drinks and atmosphere, but because of the amazing service Joanna consistently delivers. The Candle Maker is lucky to have her, and so are its guests. Highly recommended!
