La antigua ciudad de Termessos tiene una ubicación muy inusual, lo que le ayudó a resistir largos sitios y repeler ataques durante muchos siglos. La ciudad está enclavada entre dos cadenas montañosas a una altitud de 1000 metros sobre el nivel del mar.

Alejandro Magno, después de un intento fallido de capturar Termessos, la llamó el nido de un águila salvaje. Conquistar la ciudad era difícil no solo por su inaccesibilidad: en las rocas, en caso de ataque, se tallaban reservorios profundos con agua dulce, gracias a los cuales cualquier sitio se volvía inútil y solo agotaba a los atacantes. La principal atracción de Termessos es su antiguo teatro, cuyo auditorio está situado en las rocas.

Doğa ve tarihi iç içe görmek isteyenler için bulunmaz nimet. Antalya -Korkuteli yolu üzerinde tabelayı takip ederek ulasabilirsiniz. Fakat sağlıklı bir birey olmak gerekli. Çünkü aracınızı aşağıda bırakıp dağa yürüyerek tırmanıyorsunuz. Zorlu cografyanin tepesinde bir şehir hayal edin. Tiyatrosu, hamamı, agorası, nekropolleri ile muhteşem. Eğer sıcak bir yaz gününde ziyaret ederseniz mutlaka bolca su almayi unutmayin. Bu güzel cografyada geyik yavruları görmek bizim için şans olmuştu. Antalya eşsiz bir şehir her karısı gorulmeli.
