It is a Baroque church in the city of Porto. Its lovely 75-meter-tall bell tower, the Torre dos Clérigos, can be seen from various points of the city. It was completed in 1750 to 1763. The main façade of the church is heavily decorated with baroque motifs (such as garlands and shells). It was one of the first baroque churches in Portugal to adopt a typical baroque elliptic floorplan. It is popular tourist attraction and is located in a heavy traffic area of the city. Plenty of walking over uneven terrain. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Hard to find parking, take public transport.
