Pizza was lekker. Ik ging hierheen omdat ik verbaasd was dat ik gewoon niet wist dat er een papa john’s pizza in Nederland lag. Eenmaal in de wijk dachten we wat is dit? In het Arabisch de letters op de deur vonden we toch wel vreemd. Eenmaal binnen was het een klein zaakje, alles wat we niet verwachtten. Personeel begroet je niet. Ik stond aan de balie om te bestellen maar personeel bleef op telefoon, pas na een tijdje werd ik te woord gestaan. Ik attendeerde op de actie op het raam, wat overigens wel in het Nederlands stond. 1+1 gratis op alle pizza’s en mix en match in maten. Op dat laatste attendeerde ik de medewerker, omdat ik een pizza van een duurdere prijsklasse koos kon ik van de andere een large nemen tegen hetzelfde geld. De medewerker, die amper Nederlands begreep en ook niet in het engels probeerde, snapte er niks van en zei dat dit niet waar was. Ik deed geen moeite meer om het uit te leggen omdat ik toch niet begrepen werd, dus het werd 2x een small pizza, smaak was top en zoals ik gewend was van papa john’s. Al met al totaal niet de sfeer zoals we het hoopte. Net zoals dat je bij de grote gele M ook niets anders verwacht dan een echte fastfoodketen uitstraling, hadden we dit ook niet anders verwacht, dus het was heel raar en teleurstellend. Het leek wel een “namaak” van de echte.
