Roslin Glen Country Park is a gorgeous woodland escape just outside Edinburgh. Scenic riverside trails along the North Esk, birdsong, and atmospheric views of Roslin Castle make it perfect for a peaceful walk or photos. Paths range from easy to steep and can get muddy after rain—sturdy shoes recommended. Wayfinding is a bit patchy in places and some sections can be closed or overgrown, but the scenery is worth it. Free parking, picnic-friendly spots, and easy access to Rosslyn Chapel round off a great day out.

Beautiful calming atmosphere, nice big paths, easy for all the family to navigate. Children particularly loved exploring the ruined gunpowder mill. Fantastic parking.
