I’ve always enjoyed visiting this café, but recently had an experience that left me a little disappointed. I was told that they would no longer serve babyccinos, and that I could only buy hot chocolates for my kids. When I explained that I didn’t want to offer hot chocolates to my 1 and 3 year olds so early in the morning & get them used to it vs hot milk and a sprinkle of coco powder, they seemed puzzled and couldn’t understand my reasoning. Additionally, I found it a bit frustrating that I was expected to pay extra for something I didn’t want, and to top it off, I was never offered a spoon for the drinks. It seemed like there was an implication that spoons were somehow taken home, so I ended up bringing my own for the kids. I liked the staff, but I do hope they reconsider their approach to accommodating families with young children. A little flexibility and understanding would go a long way.
