Two of us were looking for a light lunch in Inchicore and came across Hikaru Sushi by accident. To be honest, we weren’t expecting much given the random nature of the location. We had a selection of sushi rolls, each one nicer than the previous one. We would have no hesitation recommending the food, the friendly staff and the service

I’m still very undecided about this place. Not the location or anything but the food itself. I had to be on shift 8pm sharp so I opted for some food asap close by, this was the nearest sushi place. When I parked my car nearby I was looking to see just a sushi restaurant not a pub but this didn’t bother me. You have to enter a pub / bar to request of order food. The place was busy if you don’t like loud drunken people the place isn’t going to be for you 🤣 The staff were incredibly friendly and very welcoming. I just sat at the bar waiting - perhaps because I was so cautious of the time I felt it took time. When I got home I felt as though the sushi had a rubbery texture to it, the prawns inside weren’t fresh (I was a chef many years ago) I’m a little rusty with food but definitely didn’t taste so fresh. It felt as though it was lacking something. Skinny noodles were definitely different than expected but taste okay, felt like they left the noodles on wok too long some noodles were stuck together and could taste crispy parts 🤷‍♀️ I think I’d have to try this place again to give it more stars as I’m putting this down to being busy! Overall 5/10 — I’d probably look for other sushi places next time. Ps; as I sat at the bar I nearly fell off the chair seeing the price of cigarettes 👀 €18 wth!!!! Thank god I am a non smoker but brought back memories when they were like 20c for one 😅😇
