The Polish Army Museum holds the prestigious second largest size in the entire country and harbors vast collections related to "military affairs," accumulated over many centuries by people. Józef Piłsudski founded this museum on April 22, 1920, through a decree, aiming to demonstrate the strength and power of Polish military history. Several halls are generously filled with exhibits from the times of the Polish Kingdom and by our "contemporaries." Napoleon I's saddle, personal items of Tadeusz Kościuszko, and the baton of hetman Stanisław Jabłonowski are just a few examples from the impressive list of "rare" items in the museum's collection. The collection also includes works of art and books from Mongolia, Japan, and the Ottoman Empire, all under the protection of the military museum. And in a small courtyard, it's worth looking at the airplanes and other 20th-century technology.

Czwartek jest dniem bezpłatnym, więc nie musieliśmy kupować biletów. Budynek nowoczesny, wystawy ładnie się prezentują choć mamy lekki niedosyt. Czegoś brakuje, multimediów, na pewno nie ma uzbrojenia po II WŚ, a to na pewno byłoby ciekawe jak technologia poszła na przestrzeni lat do przodu.

Exceptional in every way. Well-done, new building needs more exhibitions but the other one was wow!

Niestety tylko trzy gwiazdki. Oczywiście robi wrażenie nowością i "wagą" eksponatów, ale to chyba tyle. Bryła architektoniczna bez żadnego charakteru, w subiektywnej ocenie wręcz brzydka. Czuję naprawdę duży niedosyt.
